With New Tariffs On Imports, What Is The Best Next Move?

  • Aug 27, 2019

China and the United States are raising rates on imports, but there is a solution for those needing products for their offices, associations, trade shows and industry needs.

China’s Ministry of Finance said new tariffs (of between 5 and 10 percent on $75B worth of imported goods from the U.S.) will be put in place, and in return, President Trump raised rates on nearly all imports from China.

Trump said he would increase tariffs on $250B worth of Chinese goods from 25 percent to 30 percent on October 1 and that the U.S. would tax an additional $300B worth of Chinese imports at a 15 percent rate, which will go into effect on September 1.

These new tariffs could cost the average U.S. family $1,000 a year.

So what can be done?

People can opt for American-made products instead!
